Every client is evaluated on an individualized basis. Case management for all clients includes both short-term and long-term goal setting and achievement. WINGS maintains both written and verbal communication with clients in order to provide ongoing support for the accomplishment of client goals and their efforts of stability and self-sufficiency. Stability is measured by maintaining a household, attaining employment, completing job training, maintaining healthy relationships, and gaining a positive outlook for their future. When clients leave our emergency shelter after benefiting from services provided, they are aware of help agency benefits for eligible individual and families. Clients have the knowledge of how to make ends meet. They have learned how to balance work, home and personal time effectively and efficiently.

We aim to educate participants on maintaining a household, completing GED testing, holding a career, and applying for jobs so they may be better equipped to not become homeless after the initial happening. These may seem easy for one individual but impossible for another. WINGS understands these differences and works with clients individually.

To accomplish all of the above, WINGS ensures that those with the greatest need receive assistance. We use official ESG application for RRH and HP but if no documentation is readily available, we do not turn away clients. We believe a sheltered client is a happy client; therefore, our organization offers shelter to all who have none with the choice to reach out to our Columbia, MS emergency shelter. We maintain an emergency hotline 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so persons in need are able to access care immediately. Our service is completely inclusive to all in need.
